Yes. My approach is built around long-wearing, light-reflecting products and considered application — so the finish reads beautifully in person, photographs cleanly without flashback or heaviness, and still looks like skin in close-up shots.
That is completely fine, and very common. We start with a short consult — your features, dress, hair type, wedding style and the overall feeling you want for the day — and I guide the look from there. The trial is the moment we finalise it together.
Hair and makeup are prepared with longevity in mind. I use professional, long-wearing products and techniques suited to your skin, hair type and wedding day conditions.
Yes — mothers of the bride and groom are very welcome. The look is always tailored to be elegant, age-appropriate and refined, designed around their skin, hair and personal style. Many brides book their mothers in alongside their bridal party.
I recommend booking as soon as your wedding date, getting-ready location and approximate bridal party size are confirmed. Popular wedding dates can book out in advance, especially during peak wedding season.
Mobile bridal bookings are available across Melbourne and selected Victorian locations. Travel is quoted based on your getting-ready location, timing, parking and the number of services required.
Yes. Mobile bridal bookings usually require a minimum of 2 full services, unless otherwise agreed. Single-service bookings may be available at my private studio at 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne.
Yes. Bridal trials are available and highly recommended. Trials are held at my private studio at 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne.
No. A trial does not secure your wedding date. Your wedding date is only confirmed once the booking fee for the wedding day has been paid and your booking has been confirmed in writing.
Please arrive with clean, moisturised skin and no makeup. Avoid trying new skincare, strong peels, aggressive facials or waxing immediately before your appointment.
Please arrive with clean, dry hair. Hair should be washed the night before or morning of the appointment and fully blow-dried. Avoid heavy oils, masks or greasy products.
Not always. Extensions are recommended if you want extra volume, length or fullness, especially for Hollywood waves, long curls, textured ponytails or very full bridal styles.
Yes. Hair extension rental is available for selected bridal and event hairstyling clients, subject to colour match and availability.
A full bridal hair and makeup look usually takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the style, hair thickness and whether extensions are used.
Yes. Once your booking details are confirmed, I can help create a beauty schedule based on your ready time, bridal party size and services required.
A booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This fee is non-refundable and is deducted from your final balance. Your booking is only confirmed once the booking fee has been received and written confirmation has been provided.
The terms below help ensure a smooth, organised and stress-free experience for both you and me. By paying a booking fee, confirming an appointment or proceeding with a service, you agree to these terms.
Marikate Makeup provides bridal and event makeup and hairstyling services, including bridal & bridesmaid makeup, bridal & bridesmaid hairstyling, mother-of-the-bride/groom hair & makeup, guest looks, bridal trials, event hair & makeup, hair extension application, and hair extension rental (subject to availability).
Services are available by appointment only. Single-service bookings may be available at the private studio at 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne. Mobile bookings are available for bridal parties and selected bookings, subject to availability, location and minimum booking requirements.
All prices are listed in Australian dollars. Prices may vary depending on service, location, timing, hair length and thickness, the style required, travel, parking, public holidays, and any additional requirements.
Once your booking is confirmed and the booking fee has been paid, your quoted price is secured unless the booking details change. Additional services requested after confirmation are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Your quoted price is confirmed once your booking is secured.
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your wedding or event date. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee has been received and written confirmation has been provided.
The booking fee is deducted from your final balance and covers administration, planning, communication, reserving your date, and turning away other enquiries for that time.
The remaining balance is due 7 days before the wedding or event date. For bookings made within 7 days of the appointment, full payment is required upfront. If payment is not received by the due date, Marikate Makeup reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Mobile bridal bookings require a minimum booking value or minimum number of services — usually a minimum of 2 full services, unless otherwise agreed. Single-service bookings may be available at the private studio at 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne. For larger bridal parties, additional artists may be required and will be quoted separately.

Additional services may be added subject to availability. Reductions are not guaranteed. If the number of services is reduced within 30 days of the wedding date, the original confirmed amount may still be payable in full — because that date and time have been reserved specifically for your booking.
Cancellations must be provided in writing. The booking fee is non-refundable.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
If you need to change your date, please get in touch as soon as possible. Date changes are subject to availability. If Marikate Makeup is available for the new date, the booking fee may be transferred at the artist's discretion. If not available, the booking fee remains non-refundable. Any changes in pricing, location, number of services, timing or travel may affect the final quote.
Bridal trials are optional but highly recommended. Trials are held at the private studio at 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne unless otherwise agreed.
A trial does not secure your wedding date. Your date is only secured once the booking fee for the wedding day has been paid and written confirmation has been provided. Trial appointments are paid separately from the wedding day booking.
Please arrive at your trial with clean, moisturised skin and clean, dry hair. You are welcome to bring inspiration photos, hair accessories, a veil, extensions, jewellery, or anything else you plan to use on the day. If you'd like to try more than one look, additional time and fees may apply.
Travel fees apply to all mobile bookings and are quoted based on the getting-ready location, travel time, parking, distance and artist availability. If the location changes after booking, additional travel fees may apply.
For hotel bookings, parking must be arranged by the client. If paid parking is required, the cost will be added to the final invoice. For private homes, please make sure there is safe and convenient parking nearby.
An early start fee of $50 applies for appointments requiring arrival before 7:00am.
A 20% surcharge applies for bookings on public holidays or major calendar dates.
A schedule will be created before the wedding day. The client is responsible for ensuring everyone is ready at their allocated time. Delays may affect the final result or reduce the time available for services.
If someone is late or unavailable at their scheduled time, I'll do my best to adjust the schedule but cannot guarantee the full service if timing becomes limited. The final finish time must be communicated clearly before the wedding day.
For studio appointments, please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be shortened or cancelled. If cancelled due to late arrival, the booking fee is non-refundable and the full service amount may still be payable. For mobile bookings, please ensure everyone is present and ready at the scheduled time.
Makeup: Arrive with clean skin, no makeup, moisturised but free of heavy oils. Avoid fresh facial waxing, strong peels, laser or aggressive skin treatments immediately before the wedding unless approved by your skin professional.
Hair: Arrive with clean, dry hair — washed the night before or morning of the appointment and fully blow-dried. Avoid heavy oils, masks, greasy products and strong leave-in products unless discussed beforehand.
Please bring any hair extensions, veil, hair accessories, jewellery and inspiration photos.
Clients must disclose any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, skin or eye conditions, or reactions to beauty products before the appointment. Professional products are used and hygiene standards maintained, but a reaction cannot be fully guaranteed against. If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, a patch test is recommended before the wedding day. Marikate Makeup is not liable for reactions where allergies or sensitivities were not disclosed.
All tools and products are cleaned and sanitised to professional hygiene standards. Disposable applicators are used where appropriate. Please inform Marikate Makeup of any contagious skin, eye or scalp condition before the appointment. The right to refuse service is reserved if there is a health or hygiene risk — including eye infections, open wounds, contagious skin conditions or head lice.
Photos or short videos of the completed look may be taken for portfolio, website and social media purposes. Your privacy will always be respected — photos will not be used without consent.
For larger bridal parties or tight timelines, an assistant or additional artist may be required. Additional artist fees may apply and will be discussed before confirmation. Marikate Makeup will always aim to maintain the same quality and style across the bridal party.
Marikate Makeup reserves the right to refuse service if: the client is abusive, aggressive or disrespectful; the working environment is unsafe; there is a hygiene or health risk; payment has not been made; booking details were misrepresented; or there is not enough time to safely complete the requested service. In these cases, the booking fee remains non-refundable and additional fees may still apply.

Hair extension rental is subject to colour match and availability. A $200 refundable security deposit is required. Extensions must be returned within 48 hours after the event. Late returns are charged at $30 per day. Loss, damage or excessive product build-up may result in part or all of the deposit being retained.
Full rental terms — including colour matching, hygiene, return, suitability, and condition photos — are provided in writing before booking confirmation.
